Many files
Your computer may be also your library.
Probably hundreds of books, papers, lectures, manuscripts, presentations, ... are created or downloaded on our desktops for our different tasks in different projects.
If thay were printed on paper, a large library with many shelves woud have been required.
Our desktops are usually messy, because the large number of files means we are busy.
We usually group files and mve them into folders, and it is common practice to copy one certain file more than once, to remember that the copied file is required for more than just one task.
Messy desktop
We normally arrange files required in a project in named folders. We shold try remember location of each folder.
Its better to keep folders of different projects, inside one principal folder, and consider it as our digital library.
No body likes a messy desktop.
eLib: a solution
With eLib app, collect files in a single folder (library), and instead of nested folders and multiple copies, just link each file to its project.
Don't copy a file needed for different projects , make as many links (file-to-project) you need using the eLib app.

Each file could be assignged to several projects, without need to be coppied several times.

Read about eLib and watch short videos.
Get arranged
Using eLib, your desktop looks better.

And you can access your files faster.
eLib LOG IN
eLib works with an instance of local sql-server on your own computer. A remote database would also be connected to (contact to receive your special edition of eLib).
With eLib you can work with more than one database catalog. Each database catalog could be pointed to a different or the same depo.
As the admin of your eLib database, you can register more than on user on each db catalog.
Each user could define its own projects and subprojects, and link the files held in the depo, to them.
Each user has its own password to log in.
eLib
Main window in eLib is consisted of six parts (lists).
List1 (top-left): Shows results of a search. You can search using keywords, which should be typed in a text-box beneath the list1.

List2 (top-right): for each item in list1, shows whether if it is already assinged to some sub-projects?

List3 (down-left): Shows list of your projects. You can add, edit, remove, activate, or set as inactive your projets.

List4 (right hand of list3): For each project in list3, shows list of its subprojects. You can add, edit, remove, activate, or set as inactive each subprojet.

List5 (right hand of list3, beneath list4): For each subproject in list4, shows list of its notes. You can add, edit, remove or report notes.

List6 (down-right): For each subproject in list4, shows list of its assigned files (in depo). I call them 'links'. You can add, remove, replace, note, report ... the links.
Import
To add your files into a depo, you can:

1- move your files using file-manager of windows, and later assign (link) them to your subproject

2- use import command inside eLib. This way, you move files one by one into eLib depo, while linking them to required subprojects at the same time.
